The Urs at the Ameen Peer Dargah brings very large crowds for several days and closes the surrounding roads, and the Brahmotsavam at Devuni Kadapa fills that side of town. Otherwise, traffic is heaviest at Seven Roads and Kotireddy Circle from mid morning, and the market streets stay busy into the evening. From March to June, moves start at 6 am and the heavy loading ends before 11 am.

Weather and the months to plan around
Kadapa is among the hottest towns in the state, with May afternoons at 42°C to 45°C and hot, dusty winds. We start at dawn, seal cartons against dust and keep electronics in the shade. Most of the rain comes late, from the northeast monsoon in October and November, and a cyclone or deep depression in those weeks can flood low colonies along the Buggavanka. December to February is dry and mild, and the best time to move.
