Kharadi has grown around EON Free Zone and the World Trade Center, and most of the people we move here work in one of them. The housing is newer than almost anywhere else in Pune, which means proper service lifts and organised security, but it also means big townships where the gate is a long way from the tower.
The bypass and the Mundhwa side get very slow between five and eight in the evening. We load in the morning where we can, because a truck leaving Kharadi at six in the evening can lose an hour before it reaches Nagar Road. For long-distance loads we try to be out of the area before the evening build-up starts.
Office moves are a bigger share of our work here than anywhere except Baner and Hinjewadi. A floor of workstations, server racks and filing that has to be down on Friday evening and live on Monday morning. Those are planned backwards from the Monday, with the IT gear packed last and unpacked first.
