Household shifting
What household shifting with us covers
A home move includes the kitchen, the wardrobes, the school books and the things you cannot replace. Our household shifting service brings the packing material, a trained crew and a truck sized to your inventory, and a team unpacks everything at the other end.
If you can, call us two to three weeks before the move. We check your items on a video call or in person, list every piece and send an itemised quote. You pay the price you approve, unless you add items later.
We handle local moves within a city, short moves to a nearby town and long-distance moves between any two states. If your car or bike needs to travel too, we plan it on the same schedule.

What decides your house shifting cost
Two homes of the same size can get different quotes. These are the things that change the price.

How much you own
The number of cartons and large items decides the truck size and the crew. A 2 BHK with a full kitchen and two wardrobes needs more space than one with basic furniture.

Distance
Our rate card is priced by distance band. Moving a home 150 km costs far less than moving the same home 1,500 km, because of fuel, tolls and days on the road.

Floors and lift access
Carrying goods down four floors by the stairs takes longer and needs more people than using a lift. Tell us about both buildings when you ask for a quote.

Fragile and special items
Glass tables, large mirrors, marble tops and paintings may need wooden crates, which add to the material cost.

Your move date
Month-end dates and weekends are the busiest. If your dates are flexible, a mid-month weekday is easier to book.

How much does household shifting cost?
It depends on the home size, distance, floor and the packing needed. As a guide, our rate card puts a local 1 BHK move, or one up to 200 km, at ₹10,000 to ₹13,500 and a 2 BHK at ₹12,000 to ₹16,500. A short local shift sits in the same band, because it is still a full day of crew, packing material and a vehicle.
How many days before the move should I book?
Book 7 to 15 days ahead for a local move and 2 to 3 weeks ahead for an interstate move. Month-end dates fill up first, so book earlier if you are moving at the end of the month.
Do you dismantle and refit furniture?
Yes. Our crew opens and refits standard beds, wardrobes and tables. Modular kitchens and custom fittings may need a carpenter, which we can arrange at an extra charge.
Can you move my car or bike with the household goods?
Yes. Vehicles travel on a separate carrier and are planned to reach the same city on a fixed date, so you can receive everything together.
What should I keep with me instead of packing?
Keep cash, jewellery, important documents, medicines and laptops with you. We pack everything else, including clothes, crockery and electronics.
Will I get a GST bill for the move?
Yes. Happy Packers and Movers Pvt. Ltd. is GST registered and every move comes with a proper invoice, which you can also use for company reimbursement.
Is packing material included in the price?
Yes. Cartons, bubble wrap, stretch film and corrugated sheets are part of your quote. Wooden crates for glass, marble or artwork are charged separately, and we tell you before the move if you need them.
Can you shift my home on a weekend or a holiday?
Yes, if you book early. Weekends, holidays and month-end dates are the first to fill up, so confirm your date as soon as you know it.
