Indore comes first, after Dhule and the Narmada crossing, on a stretch shared with the Indore route. From there the load takes the old AB Road: Dewas, Shajapur and Biaora across the black soil of the Malwa plateau, then Guna and Shivpuri. Near Shivpuri the highway runs through the dry forest of Madhav National Park, and after it the land opens out toward Gwalior, which the truck enters from the south. Goods for Lashkar are moved to a smaller vehicle at the first wide road, while Morar and the southern colonies take the truck to the door.
Weather and timing on this route
Anything that softens in heat suffers in a closed truck on the northern plains of Madhya Pradesh between late April and June, when the heat is fierce and a dry wind blows in the afternoons. The monsoon reaches Malwa in June and Gwalior a little later, bringing rain in bursts until September. December and January bring dense fog around Gwalior and Shivpuri at night and early in the morning, and a loaded truck slows or waits for it to thin.

Lashkar's old market areas and the lanes around Hazira are too tight for a long truck, so it waits where the market ends while a pickup ferries loads to the door, and we try to get going before the shops open. Sending a car or bike to Gwalior
Old Lashkar's lanes are too narrow for a car carrier, so the car for a house in that part of Gwalior comes off on the nearest wide road. A bike can share the carrier or ride in the household truck. What MP charges in road tax on an outside car is a question for the Gwalior RTO. Kept in the state beyond 12 months, the car needs MP registration, for which Pune's transport office first issues an NOC.

Can you deliver to Morena or Bhind, in the Chambal country beyond Gwalior?
Yes. Morena is on the Agra highway north of Gwalior and Bhind lies to the north-east, with the Chambal ravines around and beyond them toward the river. The truck continues past Gwalior to your door, and the quote names that address, so share it when you book. If the village road off the highway is too narrow for the truck, a smaller vehicle does the final stretch.
Will winter fog hold up my goods on the way to Gwalior?
